Most of the games Jam City produces are free-to-play and give users the option to make microtransaction purchases with real money to obtain more lives or add special skills in-game that allow them to advance further.

Jam City’s goal includes long life games that generate revenue for the year. The company plans to set up a shop in Toronto by buying Bingo Pop from Uken Games. Bingo Pop is a free award-winning classic bingo game mixed with Huge Jackpots, Fast-Paced action, Power-Ups and more. Bingo Pop was launched in 2012.

The acquisition is to expand Jam City’s portfolio in games and geographic footprint. Chris DeWolfe, CEO of Jam City, said in a statement that they are so proud to be continuing the company’s rapid global expansion with the acquisition of one of the most popular bingo titles, and its highly talented team.

He also said that Bingo Pop’s acquisition will provide Jam City with access to leading creative talent in one of the fastest growing and most exciting tech markets in the world.
